How to prepare for a photoshoot

recommendations and tips
The success of a photoshoot depends on the collaboration between the photographer and the model. Your involvement in the preparation and shooting process plays a key role. Here are a few tips to help you feel confident and get stunning photos.
Show 3–5 examples of photos you like. This will help me understand your expectations and suggest suitable ideas for clothing, hairstyles, and accessories.
It’s important to choose examples that match the shooting location: studio photos for the studio, nature shots for outdoor shoots. Trying to recreate a beach shoot vibe in the studio may lead to disappointment.

Look for the overall mood, not specific poses. On Pinterest, I’ve gathered a collection of inspiring photos.
You can also send your own examples so we can quickly decide on the style..
General recommendations
Clothing for the photoshoot
Prepare your outfits 1-2 weeks before the shoot. If needed, I can suggest options from my rental collection, but please let me know in advance.

What works:
Nude seamless underwear.
Jeans, classic trousers.
Solid color shirts, t-shirts, tops, bodysuits.
Plain dresses.
Leather jackets, denim jackets (preferably oversized).
Chunky knit sweaters, cardigans.
Classic blazers, trench coats.

Clothing should be your size or slightly looser. Avoid overly tight clothes that squeeze the body and distort the silhouette.
Spare shoes for the studio.
Bring spare shoes that match your outfit.

Options:
Classic shoes.
Sneakers, boots, slip-ons.
The shoes should be clean to avoid leaving marks. Bare feet also look great in the shot.

Accessories
Statement jewelry, hats, and fresh flowers can add a special touch to your look. However, avoid overloading the outfit.
Self-care
Well-groomed hands and nails are important. I recommend pastel shades or transparent coating. Avoid bright designs and rhinestones.

Do eyebrow correction and hair removal a few days before the shoot to avoid redness and irritation.

If you want to use self-tanner, follow the recommendations: choose a natural shade, use a glove for application and prepare the skin in advance (moisturize, scrub).
Makeup and hairstyling
During the shoot, I can offer natural makeup and styling. If you prefer to use a makeup artist, please note:

Makeup should be light and natural. Avoid heavy foundations.

Face color should match the neck and shoulders.

Do not use 3D volume or larger eyelashes, they often make the look heavier.

On the day of shooting:

Get a good night's sleep. Wash your hair thoroughly and apply moisturizer to your skin.

If you have any questions, I'm always happy to help! Your comfort and joy from the process are as important to me as the result. See you there!
