How to prepare for a male portrait photoshoot

recommendations and tips
Choosing references is an important step in preparing for a photo shoot. You don't need to look for too many examples, 3-5 photos will be enough. If you show them to me and tell me what the images will be used for, I will be able to better understand your request and suggest a suitable shooting style. And you will be able to decide whether you want studio photos or something in another location.
For your convenience, I've put together some ideas
You can also send your own examples so we can quickly decide on the style.
General recommendations
Clothing for the photoshoot
Choose a few clothing options without prints or patterns (small logos are acceptable).

Possible options:

White and black shirts or t-shirts.
Pants or jeans.
Business suit.
A solid-colored pullover or cardigan.
Matching shoes and socks in color.
Belt and accessories if desired.

Be sure to wash and iron your clothes in advance - some imperfections cannot be corrected even in processing.

Do not wear shooting clothes in advance. It is better to bring it with you and change in the studio to avoid folds and stretching on the fabric.
Spare shoes for the studio
For a studio photoshoot, you will need clean spare shoes. Make sure the soles are so clean that they don't leave any marks, even on white paper. Otherwise, the soles will need to be taped with adhesive tape.
Before the photoshoot
Visit a trusted barber.
Take care of your nails.
Get a good night's sleep to look fresh and feel comfortable.
