About “Just a photographer” photoshoot

Preparation checklist

If you booked a shoot under the “Just a Photographer” package, it means I will guide you through a beautiful photoshoot where my responsibilities include:

  • booking the studio for the required time
  • setting up good lighting
  • helping you with posing

To make sure you love the results, preparation is essential. Below is a clear checklist to help you not miss anything.

1. Idea and references

  • Find photo examples (for example, on Pinterest)
  • Decide on the style: colors, mood, and posing style
  • Send me your references in advance
  • Consider your real preferences (for example, whether you like smiling in photos)

2. Team (optional)

Ideally, you may have a team:

  • stylist
  • makeup artist
  • hair stylist

They can also be present during the shoot and assist in the process.

  • retoucher

3. Self-preparation

If you are preparing on your own:

  • do your makeup and hair
  • have a neat, fresh manicure
  • keep in mind that photos may be without retouching
  • aim for a clean and natural look

4. Clothing and outfits

  • Clothes should fit properly
  • Underwear should not dig into the skin or be visible
  • Straps should not show
  • All elements of the outfit should match in color and style
  • Outfits should suit the interior

For couples or families:

  • outfits should be coordinated

💡 Tip:

Lay out all your items on a plain surface and take a photo — it will immediately show what doesn’t fit and needs replacing.

5. Checking outfits in motion

  • Raise your arms, sit down, move around
  • Check if anything becomes exposed
  • Look for unwanted wrinkles or tension in the fabric

If something looks messy — it’s better to change the outfit.

6. Shoes (important)

  • Only clean indoor shoes
  • Soles must be washed

Studio policy does not allow shoes worn outside (even if you came by car).

If shooting barefoot:

  • take care of your pedicure

Socks are not recommended — they look like underwear and ruin the shot.

7. Photographer’s wardrobe

  • You can use items from my shooting wardrobe (50% discount)
  • Fitting in advance is not available, but you can try options 10–15 minutes before the shoot and choose the best one

8. Timing

Please inform me in advance:

  • whether you want to stay within 45 minutes
  • or are open to extending the shoot by 15–30 minutes (+50€)

This is important for planning outfits, locations, and lighting.

9. After the shoot

  • I will send all photos (except rejects) in JPG format within 3 days
  • You can download and use them without restrictions

If needed:

  • I can share a retoucher’s contact
  • if you are well-prepared and I have availability, I can edit the photos myself (€12 per photo)

💡 Additional notes

  • Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to prepare calmly
  • You can bring an extra outfit — it can be very helpful
  • Let me know in advance if you have preferences (for example, you don’t like smiling or have a “favorite side”)
  • I shoot with a connected laptop, so please check the photos during the session. We can adjust lighting, emotions, or outfits if needed

If this feels too complicated, you can choose one of the “My kind of photoshoot” options, which include more guidance and service ✨
